| Transtel S.A. is a Paraguayan company that emerged as an ideal of their precursors, with the view that they could achieve major goals joining efforts and knowledge in key complementary activities in telecommunications. Therefore, with the purpose of fulfilling the goals and targets set, a fusion with the pioneering Paraguayan companies in this field, both were part of the Towers Group International - Paraguay Communications since 1998, and the Society of Zinc Coatings of Paraguay - from 1999. The strategy came with the join of these two companies and that there would be better benefits to compete in the international market. The experience of both companies each one in their field – the first in telecommunications engineering, installation and laying of optical fiber and the second in galvanizing of zinc structures by the process of hot immersion, locally, would guarantee the settlement of TRANSTEL in the world. Besides, the international background of those who took part of the directive committee, are well known in the telecommunication environment companies. Together they conducted many great works in Uruguay, Argentina, Peru and Guatemala with both privates and public enterprises from each country. In Paraguay the companies also were able to position themselves, taking works for ANDE, COPACO and for cellular corporations such as Hola Paraguay, CTI Paraguay (CLARO), Citsa Rieder and Cia., TELECEL, ERICSSON and Alcatel. |
